Horseback riding in the beautiful San Juan Mountains

Spectacular mountain vistas and wide-open spaces will
rejuvenate your spirit. With your choice of a chuck
wagon dinner ride, overnight trip, or an afternoon
horseback trail ride, you will have the pleasure of
riding through aspen forests and alpine meadows as you
experience nature at its finest.
From June into October you can ride horses
on "El Prado" formerly part of Faraway Ranch on
Wilson Mesa just 20 minutes from Telluride,
Colorado. During the rest of the year you can
ride at a Ranch in Norwood, Colorado.

Horseback Ride Details:
A short warm-up and instructional orientation in the
arena precedes all trail rides. (6) person limit per
ride. Children must be 8 years old to go on a trail
ride. Private rides can be arranged with advance notice
for an additional $40 per person and a 220/lb limit per
rider. Bring raingear or an extra jacket as the mountain
weather can be very changeable. Please call ahead for
schedule and reservations on all rides.

Horse Riding Lessons in Telluride:
Riding taught with "centered riding" techniques of
balance and harmony with the horse emphasized.
